Signed and dated at the lower left; the title is at the verso and is also stamped with the canvas makers, Winsor & Newton, London. Within a fine gilt and gesso frame.

Needs cleaning. The canvas has been patched in three areas, and two of the areas still show indentations when viewed from the front, along with a third portion at the upper right. There is also a portion at the lower left, near the signature, where there is a small loss of paint. There is also some evidence as to where the frame has rubbed up against the image. See photos. RG
