Description
This poster was originally designed to promote the Grateful Dead's fifth studio album, American Beauty, which was released in November 1970! The Album was created during what was the most fruitful period of songwriting of the band's career. Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley designed this poster for Warner Brothers to distribute to record stores, but the label recalled it due to the fact that Jerry Garcia was pictured holding a joint. This copy of the poster is also a quite scarce item as it was not folded at the time to be shipped with the boxes of records. Most of the copies that were distributed, were folded. This is an incredible poster and piece of Dead memorabilia that would be perfect to add to any collection! It is 100% original with no restoration.
