Pair Chinese 19th Century Reverse Paintings on Glass, the first of 2 Mandarin Scholars and assistants in a Garden, the second of a Scholarly Old Man, Woman and 2 Boys meeting a Fisherman along the shores of a lake; both in antique gilt and carved hard wood frames with wood panel backs and with Chinese bronze bat hangers. Height 21 3/4 inches (55 cm.) X width 16 1/4 inches (41 cm.).
Condition
Age related wear to glass and wood with shrinkage cracks to joins. Spots, small scratches and wear lines to reverse painting, gilding refreshed; not examined out of frames.
