Chinese Qing Dynasty Mirror Black Porcelain Temple Jar and "Court Hat" cover; the glaze thinning at the mouth with an Iron Rust wash with slight over-flow at flared foot, the base in clear glaze, the cover with a clean line of white to edge. Height with cover 14 inches (35.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: From a private South Carolina collection.

The mouth with a short hairline, 2 adjacent chips re-stuck and an associated short hairline, small chips and polish to foot ring from kiln over-flow, the cover with 1 short horizontal hairline along edge.
