These include the "Busiest Corner, State and Madison Streets," the Art Museum and Field Museum, parks, fountains, sunken gardens, significant buildings of the day, and even the stockyards. (All appear near new other than some very minor surface soil on packages. All have separate cards (i.e., no fan-folds)). [With:] Allen & Ginter's Album of Quadrupeds, one of the most popular non-sport issues, ca 1880s. Twelve card pages (two covers and 10 internal pages), with string binding intact and illustrations of 50 quadrupeds. Most of the groupings of animals make sense together, such as the Arctic page with polar bear, walrus, reindeer and lynx illustrated, but the page with the illustration from India has an elephant and monkey as expected, but it also has an orangutan, rhinoceros and kangaroo, not generally found there. The page with the sphinx has both varieties of camel, plus a porcupine, giraffe, zebra and gnu. Wonderfully illustrated nonetheless. (Front with scuffed area approx. 1 x 2 in. with paper missing. Front cover has become detached. Light surface soil front and back. Internally clean). [Also with:] 8 postcards, seven marked for Lindstedt and Zimmermann, Coblenz am Rhine. All with manuscript descriptions on verso. These include: "American Polo team at work, Coblenz, Germany, 1920; Army Tennis Tournament conducted by the "Y" summer of 1920, Coblenz, Germany; Old Victory Hut "Y" Cafeteria, being town down, 1920; Last of Victory Hut Coblenz, Germany, 1920; Gen. Postwar views taken as the AEF was leaving Germany after WWI. (All unused, near excellent condition).
