Meissen Porcelain Allegorical Figural Group of Cybele
Emblematic of Earth, from the series the Four Elements, after a model by Michel Victor Acier, model no. D 83
Height 9 inches, width 9 inches; Together with a Meissen Porcelain Figural Group of Bacchus and Ariadne. After a model by J.J. Kandler, model no. 2202. Height 10 3/4 inches, width 9 1/8 inches.

Condition
Group of Cybele and Four Putti:
Repairs, restorations and losses, including (but not limited to): loss to upper part of the gold key in Cybele's raised right hand; losses to fingers and rake that should be held in the putto's hands (putto at far right side of group); loss to the rear side of cape of this same figure; bad break to one of the legs of the reclining putto, located in the foreground; losses to the toe tips of this same figure as well as the upper part of the sickle that he should be holding in his left hand; rim chip to top edge of tree trunk on the reverse side of the group; etc.; Meissen blue crossed swords mark is not cancelled; incised numeral D 83 and stamped numeral 127, painted numeral 45; not blacklighted

Group of Bacchus and Ariadne:
Repairs, restorations and losses, including (but not limited to): repair to Bacchus's raised right hand and covered cup; loss to one of the goat's horns; loss to one of the handles of the basket, located on the reverse side of the group, next to Ariadne's right thigh; Ariadne is now missing her right foot and there are yellow stain marks or residue due to a prior restoration to this area; there is a somewhat large size shallow flake loss to the rocaille scroll, located at the right side of the base; Meissen blue crossed swords mark is not cancelled; incised numeral 2202; stamped numeral 163; not blacklighted
