Description

DESCRIPTION: Victorian gentleman's chair & foot stool. In Renaissance Revival style. Circa 1880. Walnut. American. The arm chair with typical trumpet form legs joining with a shaped seat and back surmounted by an applied lion's head crest. The accompanying foot stool is either a Restauration Empire style or Empire revival. Mahogany veneer on pine core. America. Both upholstered in matching 20th century fabric. MEASUREMENTS: Chair: 40-1/2" high x 24-1/4" wide x 21" deep. Ottoman: 6" high x 13-1/2" long x 11-1/2" wide. CONDITION: Loss to right side upper back of wood on chair. Minor wear to legs.
