Antique Chinese flambe baluster vase with pedestal base, mounted as lamp without drilling or otherwise destroying the integrity of the vase. The dramatic glaze shows blue flames at the foot moving up through deep oxblood-purple red in the bulbous body and peach bloom thinning to pale greenish gold at the neck. Qing dynasty. With broad flat unglazed foot rim surrounding recessed white glazed base. No chips, cracks or other issues found. Height of vase alone approx. 12 1/2". Total height of lamp to top of finial approx. 25 1/4".
