Baron Wolman, San Francisco 1937-2020. An important grouping of 16 original contact prints on Kodak paper, each print 8" x 10" documenting Woodstock 1969, all stamped on reverse "Copyright Photo: Baron Wolman / San Francisco", each are also numbered (see photos) - a total of 512 images measuring 1 1/2" x 1" plus an additional 8" x 10" black and white photo depicting a photographer (possibly Wolman) shooting an image of bathers in lake (note the magic marker lines on image). Most prints with creases in corners, but most of the photos are in very good condition. These are all original photos, not copies that frequently show up on the market today. Mr. Wolman was the first photographer for the Rolling Stone magazine and represented them in Woodstock 1969. These images show everything from the infamous traffic jams, cows in fields, skinny dipping in a lake, many concert goers, performers, and everything you would expect from Woodstock including some graphic signs. Provenance: Found in the trash by a picker from a local Ulster County estate.
