(Tada, 1960s) A rare tin-litho and soft plastic swimming figure of Osamu Tezuka's iconic manga hero, Mighty Atom (dubbed Astro Boy in English-speaking markets), manufactured by the Tada Factory. When wound with the integral key, the figure's arms spin in a swim stroke motion. The original box with Mushi Productions foil label on the lid is included. Measuring 8" long, the toy is in very good condition with minor surface wear and spots of paint loss. The box measures 3.75"x8.25" and 2.25" deep and exhibits some discoloration and wear.
