(Butterfinger, 1988) An original layout drawing of Bart Simpson and Milhouse Van Houten from the first Simpsons Butterfinger commercial, The Butterfinger Group. The landmark TV spot launched "this century's Dennis the Menace" in a national spokesman role that lasted until 2013, and was doubly significant for being the very first appearance of Bart's bespectacled sidekick, Milhouse. Accomplished by veteran Simpsons artist David Silverman in pencil on 3-hole animation paper, the piece measures 12.5"x10.5" with an image size of 7.5"x8.25" and is in fine condition.
