Famille Rose Vase, China, 18th century, Qianlong mark on base, the bulbous form decorated in relief with the 18 Luohans in a landscape, on carved wood stand, mark on base, 12" x 6 1/2". Provenance: from the collection of Wen Tsan Yu. For over fifty years, this collection has been treasured by the family. This prominent Chinese family can also trace its descent to Moy Toy Ni (Charlie Toy) of Milwaukee, a successful businessman widely known as Chinese Rockefeller during the early 20th century.
