Description

Continental, mid 20th century. Group of two pairs of bookends comprising of green and gold leather arch from bookend with jade colored hardstone having phoenix motif and a pair of brass Hippocampi book ends. Apparently unmarked. Approx. h. 6.25" (hardstone), h. 6.875" (brass).

Condition

Repaired tear and loose edge on leather bookend, both having scuffing commensurate with use. Pleasing oxidation to brass with a few scattered scuffs, scratches and small dark spots.
