Description
Three-piece American sterling silver coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl, in Debutante pattern, all marked "RD". Richard Dimes was an English silversmith who had immigrated to the U.S. in 1881, he went to work for Towle and started Towle’s hollowware line. Dimes eventually founded his own company, Richard Dimes Co. in 1908 located in South Boston. He went on to establish himself as a one of the finest silversmiths in the United States. Richard Dimes Co. also worked for major museums to recreate early American masterpieces by the likes of Paul Revere. Weight 33.54 ozt., inclusive. [Pot: 8" H x 9 1/2" W x 5" D]. In good condition.
