Chinese Early Ming Dynasty Lujun Glazed Porcelain Brush Washer On Carved Hardwood Stand. The pot has an open round mouth, flori form lip rim, thick, deep arced body, raised with four short leg. The outer surface of this vase is covered from the top to the bottom, the variable glazes include red and blue colors, thick, multicolored, brilliant like sunset glow. The surface of the glaze has a fluid appearance with a splash of iron red colors melting together to create abstracted effect against a brown red ground underglaze. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
