Sumba woman's ceremonial sarong called "lau wuti kau," black cotton ground with nassa shell and bead embellishment in shape of human figure with serpents, sea horses and birds, Sumba, Indonesia, early/mid 20th c. Size: 47'' x 21.5'' (119 x 55 cm) uncut.
