A museum exhibit catalog page signed by Dutch expressionist artist Willem de Kooning (1904-1997) as "de Kooning" at lower right. The page is in color, double-sided, and corresponds to pages 137 and 138 of the catalog produced for the 1969 Willem de Kooning exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. Isolated edge darkening, else near fine. 7.875" x 10." Provenance: Ex-Noel Goldblatt (ca. 1926-2003) of the famous Goldblatt's Department Store, to a prominent Los Angeles, California collector.

This page was excised from the MOMA exhibition catalog compiled by Thomas B. Hess, "Willem de Kooning" (Greenwich, CT: The Museum of Modern Art, 1969), 170pp including 115 illustrations, 16 in color. The catalog, which has been digitized and is entirely accessible online, once accompanied the exhibit of de Kooning's works on display at the Museum of Modern Art between March 5 - April 26, 1969.

Willem de Kooning is associated with "action painting," a painterly technique also practiced by contemporary artist Jackson Pollack aka "Jack the Dripper."
