18KT White Gold 7.45ct Tanzanite and Diamond Pendant/Ring A3778. New Condition! WT8872YW. One electronically tested 18KT white gold ladies cast & assembled tanzanite and diamond pendant/ring. The feature tanzanite is set within an elaborate diamond lattice gallery which can be detached to form a pendant, supported by diamond set shoulders and completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Bright polish finish with milgrain detailing throughout. Trademark is RJ. Identified with markings of “18K 750”. Condition is new, good workmanship. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural tanzanite, measuring 14.70 x 10.40 x 6.76mm, approximate weight of 7.45ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, violetish blue color, (GIA Vb 6/4) to medium, very slightly grayish, purple, (GIA P 5/3), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. The stone displays 40% extinction. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. Tanzanite is a very rare gemstone that is only found in the country of Tanzania. Originally discovered in 1967. Tiffany & Company. Named the stone tanzanite, it is found in the Usumburu Mountains that border the Umba Valley of northern Tanzania. Tanzanite occurs is gray, brown, violet, blue, reddish-purple, & green. The gem is interesting because of its exceptional pleochroism. Rotated in different directions a tanzanite will exhibit multiple changes of color. Tanzanite has a low tolerance to ultrasonic cleaning, and should not be cleaned using this method. Two hundred Sixty-three pave & bezel set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.50 – 1.20 x 0.81mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 263 Stones = 1.65ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity: SI-2 to I-1, Color: F – H, Total Weight of tanzanite: 7.45ct. Total Weight of Diamonds: 1.665 ct. Total Weight of Pendant/Ring: 8.30 gm. AIG appraised at $28,550.00!
