IRRIDESCENT BUTTERFLY COLLECTION
Morpho sp.
This is a beautiful collection of ten different species of the large South and Central American Morpho genus, with gorgeous electric blue coloring in a variety of shades and patterns, some enlivened by dots and streaks of orange, the underside of each a riot of brown, white and gray patterning, generously adorned with the defensive camouflage eyes, the largest 6 1/8 inches wide, together with a smaller, shimmering opalescent Caligo idomeneus. In a mahogany frame glazed on both sides, measuring 19 5/8 inches square.
