East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. 19th century CE. A stunning and sizeable stoneware jar presenting a narrow, concave base, a wide, rounded shoulder, a brief, tapered neck, and a rolled rim surrounded by 4 equidistantly spaced, loop handles. Each of the lovely handles present the head of a dragon in relief and the shoulder of the vessel is adorned with the undulating bodies of 2 dragons rendered in low relief. The exterior is left unglazed. Size: 12.75" in diameter x 15.3" H (32.4 cm x 38.9 cm)

Repaired from several pieces with restoration. Some expected surface wear with nicks, pitting, abrasions, softening of detail, and resurfacing. Otherwise, very nice.
