DESCRIPTION: A Rembrandt Van Rijn (Netherlands, 1606) framed etching depicting a street scene with beggars receiving alms at the door of a house. The paper has engraved stamp and is numbered 260. Rembrandt van Rijn was a prolific painter, draftsman, and etcher, and he is usually regarded as the greatest artist of Holland's “Golden Age.”
CIRCA: 19th Century, possibly older.
ORIGIN: The Netherlands.
DIMENSIONS: Etching is W: 6 1/4" H: 7 1/2". Frame is H: 14 3/4" W: 11 3/4".
