Description
Eastern Pennsylvania, ca. 1880, walnut with pine secondary. Bench-made one over three dovetailed drawers with original brasses, two board top with thumb molded edge and carved corners, cabriole legs with shell carved knees and trifid feet. Shell carving on front apron. Old refinishing. Drawer has sticker "Collection of John M. Du Pont, No. 1138". Glued split in drawer bottom. 29.5"h. 33"w. 20"d. From the collection of James W.
