Description
Wonderful read for historians is this April 28, 1906 San Francisco newspaper. Paper is filled with photos of the destruction caused the the April 18th massive earthquake that brought that beautiful city to it's knees. That terrible day, the earth shook for less than a minute, but left tragedy in it's wake with approximately 3000 residents killed and about 200,000 of the 400,000 residents left homeless.
Condition
Paper shows toning with age but very little crackling or crumbling. Although all old papers are fragile, this one looks to be fairly well preserved. See photos. Â
