Sharp's colorful artwork is based on a Linda McCartney photograph taken of Hendrix performing at the Rheingold Festival in Central Park, New York in 1967. This famous image was also chosen as the cover design for the book “Get on Down - A Decade of Rock and Roll Posters”, edited by Mick Farren.
