Item Details
Description
The Meiping vase with lid first appeared in the Tang Dynasty and was more popular during the Song and Liao Dynasty. Xu Zhiheng described in detail the shape, characteristics and name origin of the plum bottle in his book "Yin Liu Zhai Shuo Porcelain". The mouth of the plum bottle is thin and the neck is short. The shoulders are wide and narrow, and the neck is slightly narrow, reaching the slight abundance of the feet. The small caliber is only commensurate with the thin bones of the plum, hence the name plum bottle. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the plum bottle became more and more popular, especially by the royal family. This piece has a lip, a short neck, ample shoulders, and a bulge that gradually retracts to the feet. It has an original round button cover and is decorated with a dragon pattern. It is extremely rare. The body is made of blue enamel and the glaze is pure. Uniform, clear and bright, the abdomen is decorated with cloud and dragon patterns with a variety of materials. The dragon is powerful and domineering, the body is vigorous, and the momentum is majestic. Blossoming, flowing with the wind, full of ancient meaning, the body is identified by the six-character single-line model of the Ming Dynasty Xuande year in the golden color book. The design is exquisite, and the cloisonné enamel technique is used to add color. The enamel body is painted and decorated. The quality is stable, the filigree is slender and smooth, and the gilt painting is embellished. It is very dynamic, the whole is elegant and beautiful, and it is graceful. It is indeed a rare and rare treasure. It is a rare treasure of enamelware., Diameter: 8" (20.5cm); height: 15" (38cm)梅瓶最早出现于唐代,宋辽时期较为流行。
