This lot consists of a framed oil painting on canvas, done in the Impressionist style of Alfred Sisley (French, 1839-1899). Image depicts a rolling meadow scene, washed in sunlight and the movement of deep grasses. Handwritten inscription at lower right corner reads, "Sisley 73". Framed measurements approximately 23" x 28". Image sight approximately 16.75" x 21".

Alfred Sisley (French, 1839-1899) was one of the most 'consistent' Impressionists, in that he was the most dedicated to painting landscapes from life (or, "en plein air") -- in other words, portraying the purest impressions.
