This lot consists of an unframed gouache painting on loose canvas, done in the Impressionist style of LeRoy Neiman (American, 1921-2012). Image depicts a majestic tiger. Hand-painted inscription at lower right corner reads, "LeRoy Neiman". This unframed piece measures approximately 24" x 27.5".

LeRoy Neiman (American, 1921-2012) was an Expressionist painter and screenprinter with a particular focus on athletes, musicians, and sporting events. Neiman served in the U.S. Army during the Second World War, then returned to America and studied art in both Chicago and St. Paul. He was closely associated with Playboy magazine, and would later spend a great deal of his time painting social and athletic events the world over -- from the Olympics, to the Kentucky Derby, Wimbledon, and the Masters golf tournament.
