Description
Pair of Louis XVI style satinwood Bibliotheque cabinets, each with a rectangular slightly overhanging top with front rounded projecting corners above a plain frieze with beaded trim, two doors with shaped grilles and pleated fabric, flanked by tapering reeded and carved columns terminating in turned spike feet. Interiors with one fixed shelf and ebonized finish. Giltwood trim moldings, and parcel gilt columns and feet. 33 1/2" H x 35 1/2" W x 15 1/2" D. French, early 20th century.Provenance: The Estate of James W. Perkins, Jr., Nashville, Tennessee.
Condition
Both cabinets in overall good condition with older refinish. One cabinet with old wear/losses to top and tear to fabric of one door. One cabinet with right door that does not fully close.
