It is the long-lost vacation photograph incarnate. The main purpose of the poster -- the promotion of St. Mortiz as a winter sports hot spot -- is left to the background. Instead, the idling tourist, an elegantly-bundled lady, is the focus, her party deep in lazy chit-chat while skaters glide by their chairs. It is as if he is saying that while we all know the Alps are the ideal spot to enjoy all the athletic events a perfect winter can offer, it is also a magnificent place to simply relax.
