Benin carved figure, ex-collection Jay C. Leff, 19th/20th c., the male warrior figure standing on a square base, holding a club in his left hand, a sword in his right, wearing a skirt carved with geometric designs and a relief dagger in hilt on the left hip, with cheek scarification, grooved coiffure with iron nails around the top, mounted to a 12"w x 10.5"d black metal plinth, 51.5"h x 9"w x 8.5" (figure)
