Description
ISRAELI ARMY IDF REGIMENTAL BERET LOT OF 5
Lot of 5 Israeli IDF regimental Berets. (1) Air Force Gray Beret. (1) Military Intelligence Green Beret. (1) Givati Brigade Purple Beret. (1) Artillery Corps Light Blue Beret. (1) Armored Corps Black beret.
Provenance | The Dublin Trust Collection: Personal effects of a U.S. Citizen, who arrived in the United States in 1945, shortly after his birth. These remembrance items represent visitation and wartime trophies acquired through his direct involvement in the so-called "Bush Wars" in Southern Africa, more than six years in the Middle-East Conflicts, and concluding with the "Contra Wars" in Central America. The Trustee of The Dublin Trust Collection began a relationship with the Department of Defense (DOD) in 1964, leaving it in 1989. He continued service on numerous military committees as an advisor, up to "Desert Shield" where he served as a group member of the DOD "reserve affairs" committee which, based on needs and readiness, determined the Reserve and National Guard units that were available for service in "Desert Shield", later becoming "Desert Storm." Additionally, he served as a liaison officer with the IDF, seeing the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the 1982 Invasion of Lebanon. He qualified as an Israeli paratrooper and was invited to jump with Israeli COS Rafuel Eitan on his last jump (before Eitan's retirement). He holds at least ten (10) foreign jump wings. The Trustee of the Dublin Trust Collection is now retired, living in a small NW American community. Search this catalog for “Dublin" to view all the lots in this auction related to the collection.
