VERY FINE BRANT by the Mason Decoy Co., Detroit, MI, circa 1900-10. Challenge grade, glass eye model in what appears to be very good original paint. Typical mid-neck tight check. Dowel slightly raised on top of head. Paint swirls visible on back. Aged white paint to body. Some possible strengthening to tip of bill. Check running length of bottom. Retains rectangular lead weight and leather rigging on rear. Branded HARD. For additional information see "Mason Decoys" by Goldberger and Haid, pages 82-83. 800-1200
