Manufactured in 1917. German silver blade front and adjustable sporting rear sights, with the upper left barrel flat stamped with the two line address/patent date marking ahead of the rear sight and ".38 W.C.F." at the breech. A factory proof is stamped on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three line model/trademark information and the underside of the receiver has the faint, lightly struck serial number. Full magazine and smooth forearm and straight grip stock with steel end cap and crescent buttplate.

Very fine. The rifle retains 90% original blue finish with scattered surface rust, and the balance a smooth brown patina. There is some light pitting/spotting on the receiver. The wood is also very fine with some very scattered minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
