Description
A pair of Islamic glass vessels. The first, an Islamic colorless glass molar vessel, Holy Land, c. 8th - 10th Century AD, the rectangular body with angle-cut grooves, the neck tubular and flaring slightly at top with rim ground flat. H: 2 1/4 in (5.7 cm). Well-preserved and nice for the type! The second, a miniature Islamic blue-green glass bottle, Eastern Mediterranean, c. 12th - 13th Century AD, with flared pedestal foot and cylindrical body decorated with cut grooves. H: 7/8 in (2.4cm). Ex Alex G. Malloy Auction (Nov. 1979) lot 170.
