Description
An Egyptian beaded necklace with amulet, Late Period - Ptolemaic, c. 664 - 30 BC, including a tuft of Egyptian linen. The tubular beads are of a nice blue fiance and the amulet represents on of the four Sons of Horus, Duamutef, who protected the liver. Necklace measures about 22 in (55.8 cm), the amulet 2 3/8 in (6 cm). Ex Cheshire, UK private collection, acquired prior to the 1960's.
