Footnote:
The best known maker off this distinctive form of commode, characteristic of Stockholm in the late 1760s, was Johan Neijber (maître in 1768) but the type was also made by his competitors Matthias Engström, Lars Bolin and Jonas Wahlbeck (see: T. Sylven, Mästarnas Möbler, Stockholm, 1996, p. 115, p. 69, p. 273, p. 276 and p. 361).
