Both from Goulds Birds of Asia; London, 1850-1883; Each a hand-colored lithograph by Gould and H.C.Richter, printed by Hullmandel & Walton and Walter & Cohn. The Birds of Asia now considered one of Goulds greatest achievements, was published in 35 parts over a span of nearly 34 years.

Condition
Framed 21 x 28 1/2in. Not examined out of frames. Circa 1835. Overall age toning present, Evidence of mat burn to Pucrasia. Tear to upper left corner and edge 6in below. With some wrinkling to paper at lower right corner. Tantalus with what appears to be an angled 1 1/2in scratch above bill. Wrinkling to paper on right side.
