3 Chinese Song Dynasty Finely Incised Qingbai Porcelain Bowls each with unglazed mouth edges burned red in the kiln: the largest with high sides in a gray-blue glaze incised with a Lotus Blossom; the middle sized shallow bowl in a rich pale blue glaze with 2 fish and the sides separated into 6 petals with underglaze slip lines with the base glazed over the foot ring, the smallest with crackle pale blue-green carved & combed with a water bird and grass, the underside carved with rows of petals and an unglazed foot & base. Diameter of largest 7 1/4 inches (19.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: Property of a Long Beach, Long Island Estate sold without reserves.
Condition
Each with age related wear, the largest with short glaze lines inside and outside, a small star hairline and short kiln firing line outside, the double fish bowl with short glaze lines and a star hairline; the water bird bowl with craquelure, a glaze gap from the rim and slight staining.
