Description
1995 Cal Ripken, Jr. 2,131st Consecutive Game Used Baseball & Full Ticket.
The Iron Man tops the Iron Horse. Well-used OAL (Budig) sphere with special Ripken stamping saw action on September 6, 1995 as the 2007 Hall of Fame inductee officially became the most dependable employee in Major League Baseball history. Ripken's 9/10 blue ink signature adorns the sweet spot, with the signatures of all four umpires working the game signing the side panels. Ball is accompanied by a letter from one of those umps, Dan Morrison, attesting to its historic heritage. An inspiring piece that links two of baseball's most honorable men. Ball is incorporated into framed display pairing an image from the game and an unused ticket for the September 6, 1995 contest. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autographs). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autographs). Letter of provenance from Dan Morrison.
