Item/Description: Daily diary of a World War One Field Hospital serviceman. National Diary 1918. Julius Paloge 306th F.H 302nd S.T. Inscribed "God grant you safe journey there and may you be back soon with us. Harry". Adhered photos include: Cut-out photo of "My Dearest Sweetheart" written in part above / Serviceman portrait photo wearing Army Medical insignia on collar. (photo credit L. Boressoff) and more.
First entry March 7th: "I arrived this morning..." Last entry "Nothing to report except some rumors of going soon, hope it's true...December 23". Julius writes of his days on guard, standing reveille and running drills. His nights of playing cards, reading the bible and the occasional night out. He also speaks of being "in quarantine".

Condition: Wear, discoloration due to age, some foxing.
Age: 1918
