Description

VICTORIAN BRASS MINIATURE STAND LAMP, elongated urn-form font with copper finish to lower section, shoulder with stamped ribbing over a floral and scroll patterned body, ringed shoulder with panel pattern, supported by a base with three griffin figural legs and a tri-form base with cross-hatching, brass inset collar; colorless cylinder-form shade with satin finish, lightly molded with stepped "V-form" pattern, overall polychrome floral decoration and a scalloped and crimped rim. Fitted with a Hugo Schneider, Leipzig burner. Late 19th/early 20th century. 11 1/8" H to top of shade, 6 1/8" H to top of collar, 3 1/2" DOA foot.
Provenance: The collection of Larry Spradley, Beaumont, TX.

Condition

Excellent condition, edge of base with a minor dent, shade undamaged and with normal as-made fitter roughness. Burner lacking several chimney gallery prongs.
