REED & BARTON AND OTHER STERLING SILVER FLATWARE, LOT OF 24, solid sterling pieces comprising a set of ten "Trajan" demitasse spoons by Reed & Barton of Taunton, MA, a set of six repousse-type teaspoons with no/worn maker's marks, a salt spoon without maker's mark, a small "Geneva" berry spoon by Campbell Metcalf Silver Co. of Providence, RI, and three pieces by William B. Durgin Co. / Gorham Mfg. Co. of a bon bon/nut spoon and a small meat fork in the "Chrysanthemum" pattern, and a "Marechal Niel" bon bon/nut spoon; three pieces with hollow handles consisting of a fork, a luncheon knife with possibly spurious "KIRK CO." mark, and a tea infuser. Most with sterling fineness marks, hollow-handled fork with worn marks possibly being non-sterling, some pieces with maker's marks. Total weight of 21 solid sterling pieces: 14.895 ozt. Late 19th/first half 20th century. 2 3/8" to 8 1/4" L.
Condition
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including bending, dents, nicks, and/or worn spots to raised decoration; one teaspoon with repair to handle, two other teaspoons with possible repairs to handles; meat fork with a moderate bend to tip of one tine.
