Description
After RJ Horner, Pair of 19th century wood wall carving with shelves. Rectangular border with beveled edges. Foliate crest with draped shield on top with rose and daisy projections. Scrolled flourish motif with a small plaque reading "Salve" above the semicircle shelf. Scrolled foliate motif on lengths of the border. Two intricate reticulated hippocamps on the sides. 18" L x 3" W 23 1/2" H Both have been remounted on contemporary wood backings. Wear equated with age. One piece missing top crest and flower and piece of bottom edge.
