American, 19th & 20th century. Group of six Ohio whiskey/bourbon stoneware and china advertising items comprising: a Freiberg brothers 1879 Old Jug whiskey bottle, Cincinnati; an E. Block & company Blue Star Monogram whiskey jug, Cleveland; three Knowles, Taylor & Knowles jugs: a Klein brothers Spring Lake sour mash bourbon, Cincinnati; two different sized Meredith's Diamond Club Pure Rye Whiskey jugs, East Liverpool; and a George Bieler Sons Company 1867 Rare Old Perfect Brookfield rye jug, Cincinnati. The Knowles, Taylor & Knowles jugs marked. Approx. of the tallest, h. 11"; smallest 4.5".
Condition
Various: firing and glaze imperfections; crazing; scattered small chips; some wear to graphics; wear to corks; no apparent restorations.
