Regency Brass-Inlaid Rosewood Games Table
In the manner of George Oakley, first quarter 19th century
The hinged top with panels of foliage and pinwheels opening to a baize-lined playing surface and rotating above a well, the faceted rectangular standard on a quadripartite plinth raised on hipped downswept legs ending in foliate-cast casters. Height 29 inches (73.7 cm), width 36 inches (91.4 cm), depth 17 3/4 inches (45 cm).

Restored condition, now with shiny varnish, age cracks to veneers of top, obscuring varnish to some elements of brass panels, lifting to brass stringing of plinth, age cracks and inpainting to plinth, separations to tops of legs at join of plinth commensurate with age and use.
