Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Yellow and Blue Pomegranate Porcelain Celestial Vase On Carved Hardwood Stand. The porcelain potted in large shape celestial vase, thick and tall, globular lower body, straight cylindrical neck, round mouth rim, raised on a short ring foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in yellow glazed base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of abundant pomegranate fruits interspersed foliage and flowers bloom. Pomegranate is known as the fruit of happiness for its red color and is a symbol of plentiful offspring for its many seeds. It symbolizes fertility in feng shui, and it is used as a feng shui fertility cure. Pomegranate also symbolizes happiness in the family, as well as good luck for one's descendants. The Daoist attribute to it the same power as the peach of immortality.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mar. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
