Chinese Ming Dynasty JiaJing Wucai Porcelain Jar With Japanese Wooden Box. Potted into jar shape, globular body, heavy on mid gently tapered on short neck, round mouth lip and raised on ring foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against wucai design color, depicted of flowers bloom interspersed foliage, tendril and scrolling interlocking ruyi. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue ring line. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
