Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and White Incense Burner. Potted in shallow vessel form, thick and deep, drum body, dome flat lidded with Inner flange circumscribed around the containers lip allows for a perfect fitment on the each rim, raised with short three elephant legs. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine design color, depicted of sturdy rocky rock surrounded thrashing lishui wavy waves. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct. ?The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue ring line. Made in The Years Xuande Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
