Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Jug. Potted in Jug shape, thick and tall, globular body, curve straight spout flanked on the lower belly, emerge u shape handles giving a balance on the opposite sides flanked from top to mid belly, round mouth rim with dome lid finial bud fitted perfectly unto gallery mouth without any gap, raised with ring foot base. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of flying Qilin interspersed flowers bloom, foliage, interlocking tendril and scrolling ruyi. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within fine blue ring line. Made in The Years JiaJing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.
