Description
For your consideration is a Japanese terracotta haniwa figure of a warrior in tank body armor. Haniwa were important ritualistic statues buried with the dead in Japan during the 3rd to 6th Centuries CE. A similar example is found at the Tokyo National Museum. This example measures 10" in height and weighs 1 pound, 13 ounces.

Condition
Item is in excellent condition with no repair. The figure retains a felt cushion on its foot to protect the sculpture and any surface from contact damage - this is easily removed, if so desired. Please see all images and entire listing for more information on condition
